eTwinning project " How do we see us?"
New activity in our project "How do we see us", the 6th graders did an amazing job. They created Grgur Ninski using three different art techniques with the help of their art teacher Mrs Bašić. English teacher Mrs Bokavšek interviewed students and created this video:

Job - shadowing in Pragure
We had a chance to see how the classes are organized and performed in the hosting school, to get acquainted with international projects being implemented in the school, to see how modern methods are used in teaching, with a special emphasis on the use of ICT in teaching process. Besides the observation of teaching process, many conversations with the headmaster and his deputies, teachers and school staff, we visited Zakladni škola a materska škola Jaroslava Seiferta and had the honor to be received by Deputy Mayor of Prague 3, Mrs. Jaroslava Sukova and Head of the Department for education Mr. Milan Hausner.

Croatian heroes
As part of the eTwinning project "How do we see us", in collaboration with the school from Ocaña, Spain, a group of the 6th grade students under the guidance of their English teacher Ivana Bokavšek made a presentation about the Croatian historical figures using a new tool PowToon.

Polish teachers in our school
During the period from 17th February to 24th February a group of teachers from Poland visited our school. They chose our school for a job shadowing activity in their project. They came here to observe and learn from our teachers' practices. During their stay in our school they had various activities, they entered our classes and observed our everyday school process. Celebrating Australia Day
Teachers Ivana Bokavšek and Antonia Drlje and their students from grades 6a i 5a prepared a school play based on the Australian traditional song Waltzing Matilda. The play was performed on the 25th of January 2017, a day before the National Day of Australia. We were proud to host Ms Tania Blažević, the president of Croatian-Australian society in Croatia and few other members. Our school received a recognition from the Australian Embassy for special efforts in promoting interculturalization and love for language. A Chemistry Champ
When chemistry and English meet
Teachers Nina Stričević and Ivana Bokavšek together with students from grade 8a and several students from grades 8c and 7c made a film A CHEMISTRY CHAMP where they merged chemistry and English. The film carries a strong message about the values of work, effort and friendship.

Christmas event
Our traditional Christmas event was held on the 19th December at 5 o'clock. This year our students showed their talent in various recitations, songs and dance performances. School's choir was good as always. We want to thank our students for their great effort and work, but also thank you for all the support. We wish you Marry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Students - entrepreneurs in the Chamber of Economy
Students presented their ideas for improvement of the touristic offer in Split, which they elaborated in Italian and German lessons and in the project Language and entrepreneurship, which aims to develop entrepreneurial competencies and promote the importance of learning foreign languages. Through team work students have developed a project for travel agency called Kaleta and souvenir shop Tovar.
